It's official. We're legal.
To all VFRC members,
In our previous announcement, we described how recent changes in Cascades fundraising policy affected our ability to generate proceeds for functions and activities. We instituted voluntary dues, and many of you elected to contribute. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and wholeheartedly thank you.
In the same post, we also outlined how the club was taking the necessary steps to petition state and federal regulators for review, as veterans organizations are one of a handful exempt from Florida gambling law. It is our pleasure to announce that the VFRC has been designated a veterans organization by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the IRS. These statuses free the club to resume its raffles and 50/50s during club events, and greatly extend its operation into the foreseeable future. We thank the FDACS and IRS for their consideration.

Annual Tribute to Vietnam Veterans
Join us March 26, 2026 for our annual tribute to Vietnam War veterans and in welcoming veterans from the Ardie R. Copas State Veterans' home in Tradition. Guest speakers to include former military generals.
