In Loving Memory of Les Jenei
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend and fellow Cascades resident, Les Jenei, who passed away yesterday, October 22, 2026, at the age of 91, while receiving hospice care.
Les was much more than a neighbor. He was a treasured friend, a dedicated volunteer, and a familiar, welcoming presence throughout our Cascades community. His kindness, generosity, and genuine love for people touched countless lives, and his passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
For many years, Les quietly demonstrated what it truly means to be part of a community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether preparing coffee for club meetings, assisting with community activities, or serving hot dogs at the Men's Club Golf Scramble. Whenever volunteers were needed, Les could be counted on to step forward, always with a warm smile, a friendly word, and never expecting anything in return.
Les embodied the very best qualities of our Cascades community — kindness, friendship, generosity, compassion, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He gave freely of his time, asked for little in return, and enriched the lives of so many simply by being himself.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well lived and a man who made a lasting difference in our community.
Our heartfelt condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to Les's son and daughter, grandchildren, extended family, and his many friends during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the wonderful memories he leaves behind and in knowing how deeply he was loved and appreciated.
Information regarding memorial arrangements and services will be shared with the Cascades community as soon as additional details become available.
Until then, we ask everyone to take a moment to remember Les, reflect on his kindness, and honor his memory by extending that same generosity and friendship to others.
Rest in peace, Les. Thank you for your friendship, your generosity, and the many years you devoted to making Cascades a better place. You will be dearly missed, fondly remembered, and never forgotten.
